Canada’s new Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program Announced

The exciting features of Canada’s new immigration initiative, called the ‘Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program’, have been recently revealed. Through this initiative, nearly 2,000 new immigrants may submit applications for Canadian permanent residence this year. This pilot program is established for a period of 3 years, and includes the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Labrador, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

This strategy was first announced on 4th July 2016 and is a part of the Atlantic Growth Strategy. However, the complete details regarding the program were revealed only on 27th January, 2017.
The acceptance of applications will commence in March this year (2017).The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program has been devised to better the process of settlement for new immigrants. How? By making sure that the economic immigrants that get to Canada through this program, hold a valid job offer through a designated employer along with a settlement strategy for themselves as well as their family, if needed.
