South African Home Affairs department has launched the Critical Skills Work visa. South Africa is currently experiencing shortage of skilled workforce in certain skill sectors. In order to counter this skill shortage the South African government has come up with a Critical Skills requirement list as per the skill shortage sectors and have opened the doors for skilled workers from the other countries to come to South Africa and fill the skills gap.
The basic features of this visa are: You do not need a job offer to apply for this visa. Your qualification and skills must match the requirement as per the critical skills list released by the South Africa Home Affairs department. You can search for a job in South Africa and based on the employment apply for Critical Skills Work Permit. No need to go through the onerous labor certification process which is required for a General Work Visa application. The initial visa will be given for 12 months. Once you get the job you can apply for the Critical Skill Work permit which will be given for 5 years duration.

Business, Economics and Management. Information Communication and Technology(IT). Engineering . Life and Earth sciences. Professionals and Associate professionals. Trades. Business process outsourcing (ITES). Academics and Researches .
This is a good chance for skilled workers to enter South Africa and be a part of the a country which is a hub for some of the most important and recognized companies and some of the most important economic sectors include industry, particularly the automotive and the emerging IT and communications sectors, mining (the nation has considerable wealth in natural resources), as well as the banking and services sectors are experiencing shortage of skilled workers.
