Under the British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program, 222 foreign workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs from across the globe were invited to apply for the Permanent Residency under the province’s latest immigration draw. The draw took place on 19th April 2017.
Out of the 222 invitation to apply for PR, 16 were issue to the Entrepreneurs whereas as the remaining 206 invites were issued to the applicants in five different categories. The remaining 206 invites were issued to the candidates in five sub-categories which are operated through the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
Applicants who have received an ITA from the BC are now in a position to submit an application for a provincial nomination certificate, with which they can later apply for the Canada’s Permanent Residency. The SIRS is a points-based system which nominates the selected and eligible applicants across a range of sub-categories. When a suitable applicant registers through SIRS, then he/she is assigned a point’s score and enters a selection pool for the category in which he or she has registered.
Program’s through which an applicant can apply for PR in BC are:
Express Entry BC Stream
Express Entry BC – Skilled Worker
Express Entry BC – International Graduate
Skills Immigration – Skilled Worker
Skills Immigration – International Graduate
Skills Immigration – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
