Canada invited over 35,000 People for Permanent Residency till April 2017 via Express Entry

Canada has always been a top destination for people looking to live and work overseas. Every year tens of thousands of people apply for permanent residency in Canada through federal express entry or other immigration programs in the country. Massive number of people invited this year via express entry

This year more than 35,000 people received invitation to apply (ITA) from immigration refugee and citizenship Canada(IRCC) through federal express entry system.

This year IRCC launched 10 express entry draws till April 19,2017 and almost every EE draw invited over 3500 applicants for permanent residency in Canada. This became possible through considerable reduction in qualifying marks or CRS score requirement from IRCC. The IRCC drastically reduced the qualifying marks vide every EE draw this year. In the last EE draw only IRCC reduced the qualifying marks to record 415 points. This seems to be a positive strategy from IRCC to invite significant number of Canadian PR applicants in the first quarter of 2017.

Now it will be interesting to see whether or not IRCC choose to reduce the qualifying marks further. The applicants with qualifying marks around 400 mark are fancying their chances in the forthcoming draw of federal express entry immigration system of Canada.
