Don't Be late---Grab this opportunity

Under the Express Entry system, Nova Scotia has three programs that give 600 additional points. Important changes were implemented on May 8, 2017, which are detailed below. In all cases, however, it is important to first create a profile under the Express Entry system

This NSPNP program has three categories:

1.- Nova Scotia Demand / Demande de la Nouvelle-Écosse - Job seekers in Nova Scotia . For people who have a permanent and validated job offer with a full-time Job Market Impact Study (EIMT) (in a level 0, A or B occupation ) from An employer from Nova Scotia. Employment may be exempt from LMIA , for example under a free trade agreement . At present, the Latin American countries that have a free trade agreement for international mobility are Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico.

The applicant must also:-

[A] Have at least one year of work experience in the occupation in which the job is offered, [B] A Canadian level of English or French 7 in each skill of comprehension and oral and written expression, [C] Have at least a high school diploma, and To reach at least 67 points, in a points table very similar to the one that has the federal program of qualified workers. Details in French or English , page 7 in English and 8 in French. This program is planned to be open continuously.

2.- Nova Scotia Demand / Demande de la Nouvelle-Écosse - Applicants without a job offer, with work experience in a priority profession. For people who have at least one year of continuous full - time work (30 hours per week) or part - time equivalent, in the past six years, regardless of the country in a "profession of opportunity" ( opportunity occupation ).

Steps to follow to determine your eligibility if you do not have an employment offer:

Determine if your career is a priority for the province (see list below), Make sure you have the minimum funds required (they are the same as for the federal government ). To reach at least 67 points, in a points table very similar to the one that has the federal program of qualified workers. Details in French or English, page 7 in English and 8 in French. There may be an interview but the nomination is usually granted based on the documentation submitted.

That program has 250 seats on May 8, 2017. It is scheduled to open and close periodically.

3.- Nova Scotia Experience / Expérience de la Nouvelle-Écosse. For people who have at least one year of continuous full-time (30 hours per week) level 0, A or B work in the province, within the last 3 years.

The applicant must also:

To be 21 to 55 years old demonstrate a level of French or English learners 5 if your experience has been in employment level B , or demonstrate a level 7 language if the experience has been a level 0 or A .
