  • Employers can fix the duration of the contract depending on the project.

  • Irrespective of the length of the contract period, every work permit to Angola will be issued for one year and can be extended for 3 years.

Documents required for an Angolan work permit include:

  • Visa with validity not less than 12 months

  • Authentication of the health certificate

  • Evidence of the contract from a well established Angolan firm

  • Police clearance certificate is mandatory

  • Employer must be a regular tax payer

  • Company has to be recognized by the Department of Labor

  • An invitation letter from the employer based in Angola

Angola has liberalized work permit regulations and has made them immigrant worker –friendly. Above all the compensation benefits that were earlier removed have now been reintroduced as miscellaneous allowances.
