Sweden and India Speed up Visa Processing for Work Permits and Tourism

Most of the countries around the globe have experienced new visa policies. 2017 is the year where major changes in the visa industry are taking place. Sweden and India not being behind, is gearing up for fast processing of visas for tourism and work permits. Sweden and India are in the view of building strong economic ties between them.

India on August 16, took a major initiative by launching a direct Air India flights from India to Sweden. This would help to facilitate a smooth travel between the two countries.

Sweden recently celebrated Stockholm cultural festival where theme that was put up this year was India. Commercial director of Air India, Pankaj Srivastava on this cultural festival said that this is a very historic moment and will lead to strong ties between the people of both the countries.

Both the countries are expecting great economic ties to get a boost. As per the reports, Swedish major retailer Ikea is of the opinion to start a store in India and many more investors from Sweden are being expected to invest in India.

Brand director of Visit Sweden, Michael Persson Gripkow said that the initiative of the direct flights and Ikea's entry into the Indian market will have a great impact on tourism and this would build up the interest of Indian investor in Sweden.

The CEO of visit Stockholm, Thomas Anderson said, that the main idea is to make Stockholm India friendly and cosmopolitan city. The government of Sweden is working towards easing out rent regulations in the housing sector for foreign individuals and at the same time simplifying the visa processing.
